Default got a complaint!!

hi guys , just a small complaint but i was wondering why nobody mentioned that green scoobies attract bird crap!! i`m convinced that there`s a flock of seagulls or somethin bigger stalking me.
only had the car for three weeks and all i`ve done is clean off the biggest s***s you`ve ever seen in your life, every single day!!at this rate i`ll need to take out a loan for car shampoo!!

I don't think it's the colour - they just seem to like Subarus. Mine is blue and they do it to me too !!!
They're probably sponsored by Mitsubishi to try and make Subarus look crap (no pun intended) to encourage people to buy the EVO !!

Just my thoughts !

Blue is their favourite colour..however, over here in Corstorphine, i'm sure it's flying elephants that do it, judging by the amount !!

Either that or the seaguls had a curry the night before !!

I parked near a big tree at work, and the car is covered in tiny droplets of sticky stuff ( oh er ). I guess this is tree sap ??

A right feckin mess - will need to be washed tonite

Stiks

PS. if a bird craps on your windscreen..... just don't take her out again.

OK I'll get my coat.

Wink

Trust me on this one....

They shat loads on my DBM impreza and I thought they were picking on it but having since bought a Silver Focus (temporary pending wedding induced economical move ) ...the birds actually have alot of sense and taste and now **** all over that roughly 3 times as often as they did on the scoob

In fact if I could fly, I think I'd have a go at ****ting on it as well

PS Great chassis though

Hows the wedding plans going matey ?
All done and dusted mate ... the joys of getting married abroad ...

Heather still neeed to get a frock and we've got to buy a couple of rings and that's about it, we fly out to NZ on boxing day and don't come back till 31st January Long time off work and god knows how I'll cope coming back after 5 1/2 weeks I normally can't be assed after a lunch hour... far less that amount of time

Have you had yours yet? ......knew it was pending but couldn't remember when

2 Weeks on saturday till mine Si.
Kackin' ma'self though..

We're both beginning to think that going abroad would've been a better idea.
Family seems to think they know best about the arrangements..

Dont know how to take this..but Audrey says next time she gets married...she's going abroad.

It'll be fun though, really cant wait.

All the best to you and Heather matey.

You'll all enjoy the day I'm sure... it's just afterwards that sucks !!!! Just kidding, I'm sure it'll all work out fine.

Have you been to NZ before Si ? Superb place - went last year and again this year I liked it so much. If you want any advice on what to see etc., let me know. I've done both islands now and have a fairly good idea what's what over there.
A few pics here if you want to see some of the south island :

I've got more, but haven't posted them all yet. Need to cross reference some of the pics with my diary aswell, to work out where they were taken!! Great place though, you'll love it I'm sure.

Have fun !

Drifted from the original topic a little huh ??!!?? Sorry !

Thanks Dave... appreciated

Heather's brother lives in Auckland and she's been out to visit him before so we've got a few ideas.....

Photos are really cool mate

Doing North & South Islands as I was desperate to see Milford Sound etc ... and H wants to do the Bay of Islands up North.

We've only got 4 weeks over there so trying to find a balance between seeing everything and chilling out at the same time

Thanks again for the offer of info and I'll drop you a line if I think of anything specific.

Si

I'd agree it's important to get the balance right. First time I went I was there for 3 weeks, saw loads, but didn't have any real chill time at all. That route covered Auckland, Bay of Islands, Auckland (for New Year - highly recommended), Hot water beach, Rotorua, Phakapapa (sp?), Wellington, Picton, Nelson, Franz Josef, Wanaka, Queenstown, Dunedin and Christchurch !! It was great, but was pretty much constantly moving. Bought a house whle in Queenstown too !!!
This last trip I was only there for 8 days and just did Queenstown for 3 nights, Te Anau (nr Milford Sound) for 2, Wanaka for 1 then Christchurch for 2. It was far more relaxing, but would have been frustrating if I hadn't been there before. The month should be enough to see everything, and still have some 'time-out' days to recover from the wedding. If it's anything like when I got married, you'll be knackered !

As I said, let me now if you've any questions that the bro in law can't answer. I've got loads of leaflets about activities around Queenstown that I brought back for friends, so if you want to I'll take them to the next scooby meet.
Cheers !

Nice one Dave....

New Year will be spent in Auckland so looking forward to that one

I'll drop you a line when it comes to the more specific route-planning time

Cheers
Si
