Seeing as the 'petrol set to rise' thread is so popular I thought it might be an idea to help explain what all the extra money generated may go towards.
"On loan" from Lotus for 2 weeks as part of a trial and if its successful its only £50,000 a pop!

I love Evora's ! Normally when I watch cop shows they can't help bouncing off cars , that would be some expensive fiberglass to repair ! Didn't police in Essex have an Exige for a while ?

surely the tuned up evo's and scoobys that the interceptors are powerful enough, and practical.
i think its a joke if any police force get a car like that for a squad car

I've heard that up here in Scotland that the Traffic Police are gonna get hammered due to the cutbacks, will be very funny if you spot the traffic pig that was mouthy to you behind the counter in Mcdonalds

If we are all driving electric cars in 2 years how will the government generate the taxes they lose from petrol? Will we see the same style of tax on electricity? So now not only would it be expensive to run a car but also to stay warm in your own home?
