Default Hello! Newbie going to see my first Impreza /advice needed

Hi guys. Just joined. Finally may have found a wry wagon that ticks the boxes.

Going to see this tonight :

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...-wagon/4697071

£5750 wrk grey wagon pro drive pack
85k mikes
Blob eye

Standard minus pro drive parts

Does that look ok? Seem fairly priced?

I was hoping to pay nearer 5k it is due a timing belt soon. Also doesn't have leather

Thanks
Jonny

Looks expensive for a 10yr old standard jap car with medium mileage.

Surely you could get a STI for that money

Yeah I did think so, however he said it has a full service history and is immaculate

I wasn't sure about an Sti as I don't think they are available in the wagon form in a blob eye?

I seen a 51 plate bug eye blue Sti today for £2800 but it has no mot, rotten arches and needs all the brakes rebuilt .

It's a little overpriced but it's a facelift interior version.
The best of the UK newages as the later hawk had the rubbish 2.5 engine.
85 k is not high for a ten year old motor.
4.5 is nearer the value I'd say. But it depends on history and condition.

No sti wagon available after the bug and that's very rare and import only

thanks for the advice guys! in the end I decided not to go see the car, didn't think the price was good enough after the advice on here/looking around some more

ideally I'm after a blue wrx blob eye or hawk eye wagon however I'm keeping my eyes open online !

I've found a blue wrx blob eye but it has done 150k miles, the guy said it's all ok, has had a clutch and a timing belt done previously so shouldn't be too bad but I'm not sure if it's worth buying something with a mileage that high

this is one I've emailed twice about in the last two weeks but not heard anything back on: https://www.gumtree.com/p/subaru/sub...es-/1117620996

would have gone and bought that one at the weekend if he had actually replied to me,

also this is the higher mileage blue one I mentioned in my previous post, guy seems fine after a phone call and has had some classic Subaru model's prior to this

A car's history is just as important, if not more important, than its mileage.

My old bug wagon was still running strong after 120K miles but no expense was spared when it came to maintenance and it had a folder full of receipts and job sheets for every piece of work carried out on it. Made it easier to sell, and was sold with piece of mind too.

The important thing is not to rush into buying an impreza - the right will turn up eventually. Just don't let your heart rule your head.

There was a decent black blob wagon up for sale in the classifieds here (may still be). Had a few sti styling mods & had been well maintained (specialist owned) at a much realistic price. Barring the colour it may tick some boxes for you.

Christ I couldn't give my Blob away at £3,000 this spring!!

It's immaculate, 340bhp and just 80k on the clock.

tbh I'm open to any colour, I just thought blue was the more 'desired' colour

black would be cool too, i'll go take a look at the for sale section again and see if I can find it

there have not been too many appearing up for sale that haven't been thrashed by the looks of it, usually it takes a set of Halfords mud flaps, an ebay 'dump' valve and a pod filter to put me off haha
