sti5 remap tomorow my mr Forrest!!
Hi all
Cant wait till tomorow my replacement sti5 wagons going for the full ecutek from Andy Forrest.
My last one, that Im still mourning, made 334bhp an 311lbs with the mods it had. I ran it on v power with Hks hi power exhaust, hks panel filter, walbro fuel pump ngk pfr7s and a 100cell sports catted downpipe.
This one has just a filter, plugs and fuel pump fitted and a completely standard exhaust and downpipe.
Be interesting to see the difference hope I make 300bhp.

Andy said you did well - is that your turbo maxed out
New scoob did great on a standard exhaust as I said with stock cat in place, a walbro fuel pump, Green panel and NGK7s she did 319 BHP and 312lbft
My last sti5 had a scoobyparts 100cell down pipe and a full HKS Hi Power. Okay it made 334bhp But it only got 311lbft torque.
More than that with the standard exhaust an Dp on the new one peak torque comes in 600rpm sooner. If I did the downpipe and exhaust id gain the extra power right at the top of the rev range and a splitting sore head.
Huge thanks again to Andy Forrest.

Andy gave me a printout combining the power runs for both cars but im not sure how id post it here i dont have a scanner.
It shows that the standard system is better up to about 4250rpms then they are both level pegging roughly to about 5400 odd revs when the sports cat and 3" bore Hks make their presence felt.
I real driving terms the stock system produces peak torque at 4226 rpm with the sports set up producing it at 4859 rpm.
Okay the sports system does 334bhp at 6428 revs but the stock one wasnt that far off at 319bhp at 6115 revs.
Andy says no two cars are alike and the same exhaust fitted to two seemingly identical cars will produce slightly different results.
Its was bloody freezing when i visited port seaton yesturday and when i took the last car there it was 20 degrees so that could be the difference.
For now im enjoying the power and the peace and quiet, that may change.............just dont tell mrs the wife

meant to add that peak torque was identical at 311lb/ft.

We pulled over half way through because he wanted to check and yeah it was a vf28 on the new car. The last one was a vf28 as well.
Also said the exhaust system looked factory original.
I tried to stick a mongoose backbox on it last week and rounded off the bolts holding the standard backbox and even after heating them up couldn budge them. So standard turbo and standard catted exhaust.
