Storm damage.
I'm gutted just back back home to find a ridge tile has come off the roof bounced off the garage roof and landed on the roof of the scoob, dends and scratches everywhere.
Needs a new rear screen. Boot lid, spoiler, rear wing and bonnet nead painting.
What will they do with quite big dends in the roof?
Do you think the repairs will be covered on my house insurance.
Anyone know a good bodyshop Birmingham - Bromsgrove area.

Sorry to hear that Paul
I woke up when the wind started and moved mine off the drive cos i was concerned about this. We've lost 2 tiles out the back but none at the front.
I would defo try to claim off the house insurance!

Feel for you mate! Once saw a slate pierce the roof of a rover 25.
my back fence has blown down, but it will have to wait as I'm going to work. Will probably get turned out to a few unsafe structures if it carries on like this.

i think this will be coming out of your pocket for the car as this is going to be 'an act of God' - speaking to my local building agent they reckon you would be incredibly lucky to get this one through house insurance
anyhow - have a try you never know
Good luck
Mitch

I think if your neighbuors tiles landed on your car then it would be covered..
but as it was yours ,its an act of god.Shame you dont know anyone who has had storm damage, and your car could have been parked nearby...

PaulT68,
I had a similar incident a few years ago. Some roof tiles came off my house and landed on the bonnet of my Golf GTI 16v, causing dent/scratches etc.
I claimed off the house inurance for my roof tiles and got them replaced, but the house insurance would not cover the damage to the car. They stated you couldn't claim off yourself. If the tiles had landed on the neighbours car, they would have been able to get their damage fixed through my house insurance. In the end I had to claim off my car insurance as I needed a new bonnet. Luckily I had a protected no claims bonus!
