Kerb damage
#1
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions?
Recently banged my STi Version4 sideways into a big kerb (don't ask how). It would have been like kerbing the wheel but was a very large kerb, so instead of scraping the kerb it became a bang instead. The front drivers side wheel took most of the impact. Obviuosly this ruined the alloy and I've had it replaced praying this would be the only damage. Unfortunately when taking it for a test drive it appears to be making a noise from this wheel when turning while diving. Any ideas what could be wrong.
Cheers.

You've most likely knocked your tracking/geometry out, possibly could have slightly bent one of the suspension arms??????
Get it to a dealer/specialist and have the tracking/geom looked at for a start.
Hope that helps!!

I did the same thing, had the tracking re-done, thought that was the end of it, now I've got a slight leak on the steering rack. It's not too severe and took about 3 weeks to show up.

Cheers guys.
I took it down to scooby sports and Dave-TS hit the nail on the head. Wheel bearings nackered. Cost a fair bit to replace. I wouldn't be surprised if something else appears later. I'm also gonna get the tracking done just for peace of mind (was quite a smack after all).
Once again thanx all for the suggestions.
