Default Leon Cupra R

About to go and buy one of these (not for me, for my brother) and would like to know roughly how much I can expect to pay (forget the rrp).

Anybody else bought one recently and if so how much did you pay ?

Thanks

not sure on specific prices, but with the new leon out early 2006 id expect a decent discount from rrp.

have a look at the leon forums here www.seatcupra.net, will get a much better response.

NW mark.....The LCR prices will not plummet as the top range new leon only has 183bhp from the 2.0 TFSI engine! As far as i know there is nothing pipelined for an R model! This will obviously mean the cars will retain good value!

As for prices, for a 2002 car (210) expect to pay between £10500-£12500. For a 2003/04/05 car (225) expect to pay anywhere from £12500-£18000

i never said they would plummet, i just said i would expect to recieve a good discount on a new LCR now being that the new leon is due out very soon.

As you say i dont think used LCR prices will plummet either due to the replacement not being on the drawing board yet, although im sure one will appear since the current one has been so successful.

i had mine in for some warranty work today, there was a red 54 plate there for 16,500 with 6k on the clock. (this was a non tracker fitted model).
so forecourt prices seem quite high, just checked auto express's expect to pay price and they have it as RRP.

i also asked whilst i was there whether there is to be a replacement for the R but apparently nothing in the pipeline as yet. he was'nt sure as to whether SEAT would be allowed to produce another car that was quicker than its equivalent golf counterpart.

which hopefully (for me as an owner) should see good residuals.

Thanks folks, currently got an rrp of £18620 including options.
Got a dealer to give it to me for £17600 OTR including mats and a full tank of gas which I think I am quite happy with.

No news on a replacement and to be honest the replacement looks a little more mini MPV/family orientated ??

Bakerman - http://www.cupras4less.co.uk/ is a good place to have a look also. Didn't use them myself, but a lot of people on cupra.net have and most have been pretty satisfied.

Picked mine up from stealer 3 months ago.. ~£15K for MY04 225 with 5500 miles on the clock but had none of optional extras (Recaros, 6-disc CD multi-changer, SatNav etc) .

You should expect to pay between £14-£17K from stealers for MY03 (210) - MY05 (225) with average mileage.

HTH.

I went into a local SEAT dealers a couple of months back and they told me there was a wait for a new one, subsequently they were reluctant to do anything by way of a deal on the price (knocked a few hundred quid off and that was about it). I ended up getting a CTR instead!

Mates just paid 14k for an 04 with 9k on the clock.....mint mint mint. Not sure about the cloth and plasticy dash but really goes.....Im sure the torque steer would get on your nerves after a while, 225bhp fwd is a bit daft

Is that a re-mapped LCR mate, or standard?

Nice one fella. What termainl speed did you get?
Ran mine the week before you did yours and got 14.201 in 32oC temperatures, which isn't the best conditions to run it. I'm pretty confident it will sneak into the 13's on a cool day...
Did you run yours at the RTOC show I take it then? What colour you got?

Termainl was about 95mph I had a few runs all at 14.6 early on but I got the 14.44 at about 3ish so was abit cooler 14.2 is good I was hopping to get in the 13's maybe next year thou when I've got the full program (might go with custom-code)

Yeah was at the RTOC show, top day got a nice tan out of it I was the silver 1
