Question

My company car details have changed. What would you order new up to £19k with 4 or more seats that would not kill you in tax but be a bit of fun to drive?

It can't be an import either. I'm a little confused.

You could have a nice Golf GTI 150bhp diesel with a few extras. Apparently this is classified as a clean diesel so gets a 3% bonus so takes the tax down the 15%.

Sorry to say but no diesel has yet passed the Euro 4 emissions test so all diesels currently have the 3% surcharge. As for a good diesel have a look at the VW group, Ford's new TDCi, Renault dCi or the PSA HDi, they are all much of a muchness. Unfortunately £19K means you miss out on the BMW 320 or Volvo D5.
