Imprezza/Coupe debate.Please read
I am a relatively new member of the FCCUK forum, as I have recently aquired my 20VT. It is a great site which thus far has proved very helpfull and very friendly. I've also had the pleasure of meeting a few of the members who strike me as nice decent people who are enthusiasts. Like me.
I was however disappointed to read a thread that included a link towards another thread that was posted on this forum by a fccuk member. No prizes for guessing which one I refer to.
I was not surprised by the reception it naturally got by some of the members of this site, although I do not condone the nurturing of such negative and non productive threads. They are best ignored as they are not worth the finger tapping.
This is not an appology by me, as I feel the certain member should be man enough to admit he made a mistake and publicly appologise for it.
Rather a representative of fccuk to convey the disapproval of such a negative and inapropriate thread posted on this forum by one of its members.
I am a petrol head through and through and I love high performance cars of ALL types for different reasons. I have no interest in sites politics or heated opinions.
I hope we can share the enthusiasm we obviously have for our chosen cars with the understanding a true petrol head posesses.
Catch you guys on the black stuff soon I hope.

Hey SBS,
I think your thread deserves a little more respect
I at least appreciate your comments - clearly there are plonkers on both boards
Anyway - "Imprezzas" and "Coops" are both rubbish give me a 205 GTi any day!

The purpose of this thread was to appeal to everyone calmer side and strike a happy balance between the two car communities.
As I am not a regular on here, I am unfamiliar as to what is tongue in cheek and what is serious opinion from those who have replied. But it could be semi safe to assume my message has fallen on deaf ears.
At this point I hope I am wrong, and would like to be proved so.
So could someone with some intellect (no offence) give me some input on what the general feeling is towards Coop owners.
Sorry my mis-spelling of the name Impreza caused such friction.
Feel free to spell Coupe any way you feel makes you happy, as its not something that would bother me.
Regards

Your message has NOT fallen on deaf ears, SBS. I,for one, respect you for coming on here, at the risk of the ar$ey comments and voicing your opinion.
Fair play to you mate.
Besides, we should all be focussing our attentions/p1ss-taking on the Triumph Dolomite
Take it easy,
Dan

For all the Scoob vs. Fiat vs. Evo vs. TT , etc. etc. thread subscribers, and all the people afflicted with a car superiority complex, I think this is in some way appropriate :

Thank you for restoring my faith Dan. No offence was meant, thats why I tried to put the point across 'on egg shells'.
As for the Dolomite, horses for courses mate. If a supercharged milk float rocks someones boat, fair play. Who am I to mock, I follow Formula one

SBS, I'd take all posts on this thread as toungue in cheek.
Coupe's are nice cars, impressive 60-100 out of the box, we all know that
Tossers reside on all bbs's, the more popular the bbs.....
Oh and BTW coop and scoob sound the same if you have a speech impediment

Horses for courses.........I like any performance cars (the Scoob just does it for me). I never see any need for all the slagging off that goes on. Ive had fun in lots of cars not just Scoobs.

Just in case it escaped your notice I was taking the p1ss. As I'm sure were the other contributors. I think you'll find lots of us here can appreciate a decent car like the Coupe Turbo and even the Impreza. Usually some officious pr1ck pops up and corrects those that mis-spell the name 'Impreza', so I figured I may as well get in first
Actually come to think of it I prefer a Pug 205Gti to either of them so I'm with Ian Watson on this one.
