80s lefty music ;-)
Been a long time, but I listened to an old favourite of mine tonight, Latin Quarter - Modern Times. Proper political music from the 80s
Got me thinking about Billy Bragg and the tour he fronted for the miners and political artists like The Special AKA, The Beat etc.
Amyone else got any left wing political music faves from the 80s.... it's OK to come clean now... you have all grown up

Crap from a cultural point of view, as opposed to a political one. I loved The Jam, even though I knew that Paul Weller hated me, but Red Wedge was SO crap. Even the Melody Maker couldnt get up any enthusiasm for it, in 1986, was it?
