Anyone got any clues as to where to buy (cheaply) an old 80s arcade machine (upright or tabletop) that works?

All pointers appreciated! It's for an 80s party this weekend...

Looked on ebay, and found outrun for 270 quid, but I can't justify that!

Nick.

Wonderful - I'll give this a try then. Just tried running on my Win2K laptop, and, surprise surprise, it didn't work. Complained that it hadn't got VESA drivers, which ain't too much of a surprise...

Hanslow - you have mail

Cool

I won Double Dragon 2 full size machine when I was about 13/14 from Amiga Action magazine.

It was superb - put it in my dads carpet shop and all his fitters/suppliers used to put cash in it for a game.

Sold it about 4 years ago for £250.

Cheers all, MAME is running brilliantly!

DW: ever read CU Amiga or Amiga Computing in 93,94 or 95? I wrote a few articles back then...

I also wrote the Tabby graphics tablet software...

Nick, I used to read them all - thats all I seemed to do back then, read computer mags and play on the amiga, as well as normal teenage stuff

I still have some old copies so will have a look some time. You coming on DR2?
