7 yrs for kiddy fiddling twice is hardly a tough sentence.
As for the whites being 2nd class citizens, it's a white mans world unfortunately and has been for some considerable time, it's about time the playing field was leveled slightly, still won't do anything to combat the biggest enemy, which is sub-conscious/passive racism, you'll never remove that from the human mind, fear of the un-known is a built in response and is attached to basic survival instincts, much like the reason many people become constipated for the first few days in a strange place so as not to alert preditors of their presence goes way back to basic survival instincts.

The way I see it, this has little to do with whether anyone (or who) is a first or second class citizen, but what factors it's legitimate for a judge presiding over any case to take into consideration when deciding on sentence. I wouldn't dispute that the victim coming from a particular cultural background might be one of them, but to tie this specifically to the victim's "future prospects of being regarded as a good catch for arranged marriages" does seem a bit weird (I thought as a nation we were supposed to be discouraging the pracice?). Anyhow, seeing as the perp here was Asian also, and that no sentence is ever too long if we're talking about kiddie fiddlers, I say rock on, give him an extra seven years for good measure
