I had a hernia similiar to yours. Thankfully had private insurance and had it treated in a week or two.
I had 'normal' (not keyhole) surgery and stayed one night in hospital. It hurt for a few days and EVERYTHING was completely bruised and a very attractive black/blue colour. The stitches were self absorbing and took about 6 weeks to be back to normal.

ive had 3 hernias now and i wont lie,its not the best experience ive ever had..the majority of them arnt serious but you can get such a thing called a strangled hernia which can be very dangerous so ide suggest you get it sorted.. my opperations were in and out jobs the same day but the recovery period varied from 7-12weeks for me..
again i wont lie...its hard to get about and can be painfull afterwards but again this was my experience with them.
hope you get it sorted

Ive had an umbilical hernia. Had a mesh inserted to stop it happening again. I was suppose to take a month off work, but at the time being self employed, I had to go back to work early- 2 weeks. Hernias are one of the most common operations of today and can happen to anybody, from manual workers to office bods. If you need surgery, get it done asap.

If you have one jods, get it seen to as soon as possible. You'll just make it worse the longer you leave it

Whoo hoo - just got back from A&E - Awesome service. In and out in less than an hour and I only had to drop my bags twice and have two different female nurses poke around my undercarriage
Indeed you are right - it IS a Perineal Abcess - big ba5tard by all accounts.
I've been prescribed ERYTHROMYCIN (STEARATE) 5000MG 4 x daily (100 tbs)
Apparently I'll be back on form in a couple of days
