Default e-bay kn*bheads

Been bidding on some ATB V-brakes for one of my lads. The e-bay shop selling them are putting at least one set per day onto auction, and yet idiots keep bidding against me, instead of looking for others, which would make them cheaper.

Messaged one guy to tell him there were 5 more sets coming up at roughly one day intervals, and where to find them, and got a one word response.

Why would anyone outbid me when there are others available at a cheaper price ?

And the reason you're not bidding on these other, cheaper sets yourself is... ?

'Cos I got first bid in already. Every time I'm outbid, i just bid on another set that no-one else has bid on yet.

Oh I can see that, but they are paying over the odds.

It's like being first set of bidders at an auction where about 30 of the same object are selling.

It happened to us last year, we wanted a coffee table. There were about 40 of them available. the first few went for around £100, the next ones for around £30 and we got ours for £5! Alls you got to do is wait, and NOT bid against others. As Jonesy used to say: "Don't panic, don't panic".

I always make a point of not bidding until about 15 seconds before the auction ends, and this hopefully deals with the fly guys upping the bids!

I can't see the problem.

Yes there are others with no bids, but the nearer they get to finish time the more bids they attract

I don't usually bid until 10 seconds from the end

Keep bidding and one day you will get them at, or below, the price you want to pay.
