Kids Of Today!
Bit of a rant I'm afraid.
I was washing the car yesterday when I was approached by a girl, roughly in her mid 20's and what looked liked her Grandmother, approx 60's.
The former asked me if I'd seen two 6 year old girls on bikes. I told her that I had earlier and if she couldn't find them soon then 'phone the Police as it will be sub zero shortly.
Police heli was out about half an hour later and obviously didn't do a lot of good.
Later I was washing a second car and sure enough the two little girls come cycling up. I told them to go home as their mother was sick with worry.
One of them told me to "F**k Off"! Other insults were added and I was shocked at this filth from the mouth of such a little girl. She lingered until I said things I probably shouldn't have but it appears they were used to the language and didn't understand much else.
A great shame - what will they grow up to be?
I despair but I hope they got home okay.
To a good telling off.

Years ago it may have been acceptable behaviour to do this and a social responsibility but these days it could be viewed in the wrong light.
I'm getting old.

They are obviously used to much harsher talk and respond to it which is a great shame for kids so young.

If my girls had gone walkabout I would be as worried as their mother as it was a very large country area in which they were in.
Thread over, I've little time for this PC nonsense.

obviously didnt read the post properly, ken was worried for them and did try and get them to go home. first attempts didnt work but since they seemed toi respond to harsher words, if that is what got them home in one piece then that was the way. ken was trying to make a point that it was a shame to resort to that, with their age.

Worked for me when I was a teeny. Find it very hard to utter filth now.
I abhore bad language in ANYONE. To hear very young children coming out with obscenities is a very sad reflection on today's society. To hear the f word and similar words used as part of normal speech is disgusting.
We all sink to profanities when pushed or under stress or when we belt our digits with the proverbial hammer. But Generally those words are best kept locked away in a box somewhere.

I think a lot of what is heard today from kids has become commonplace due to the programmes the kids are watching on TV especially the Sat channels.
Came home the other night and my two were watching a prog called Dirty Sanchez and every other word seemed to start with "f". I wasnt impressed to say the least.

Went to MFI today and off me and Dave went to look around. Hollie, nearly 7, decided to sit and play with some blocks they've supplied for bored kids.
She comes running over to us after a little while and tells me that some kid has hit her on the head and told her that she's going to nick all the blocks she's playing with. When the little brat's brother asks the kid why she did it, she says, "I wanted to hurt her".
Hollie was quite upset and we couldn't believe it. Kids are cruel, but my child would never deliberately hurt a complete stranger!
I blame the parents. I am not totally blameless myself. Kids don't get the attention like they used to - we'll all so busy these days mainly cos mum's are working. They're not getting the attention they require.

PSML...
we were sitting in the car today, and my three year old was in the back with mum, and he was spouting silly words as they do. we had punky plonky winky etc, then he decided to string em together and came out with this classic
"Grannys a ******" it was all we could do to keep a straight face, my mrs look mortified, my mum took it in her stride and didnt bat an eyelid, i just wanted to laugh.
and withing 10 seconds it had become grannys a planker, grannys a plinker, and so on..
Phew, but dont they just drop you in it !!!

Yes of course a six year old shouldn't swear. Totally 110% agree.
But that doesn't make it right to swear back
