Just got my renewal forms through from Adrian Flux with my cost being a wopping £1136.50.

I gave them a call, explaining that I have put 18” alloys and a full SS exhaust on. I also confessed to the 3 points I have just tarnished my spotless license with.

When asked if I had received any other quotations I truthfully replied “Yes, have been quoted £950 by Chris Knott”. After about 30 seconds the lady returns to the phone and tells me they can now offer a quote of £945.

Yes I am pleased to be saving money BUT to drop £200 instantly after what I had just told her makes me furious. If I hadn’t picked up the phone and called around they would be charging hundreds of £s more than I should have been paying.

Off to try and start a bidding war now. B4st4rds!!!!

7 Foot,

Please post up the outcome of the bidding war as I am expecting my renewal in the next couple of days from A Flux.

Cheers.

Sounds like Adrian Flux! You should have told them £900 and i bet they would have gone that bit cheaper.

Did the same to me on my last car last year!

I was insured with them when I was 20.

Sounds like Money has experience of them and he's 21 I think.

Admiral did the same to my girlfriend on her MGF.

She's been with them for about 4 years and put the renewal up by about £100.00 last year. I phoned up and moaned on her behalf and got some flanel about increasing claims and pay outs, moaned a bit more and got

".........lets see sir, I can apply a discount for you this time" and dropped the price £200.00.

If it had come in at the same price as the year before or slightly cheaper we would have taken it straight away.

They all try it on.

Chris

They change their view every 2 mins!

Im with tesco cause adrian flux pissed me around

First they quoted me on a uk and said no problem
Then i enquired about a import and they gave me a quote and said they could insure me
Got the import and they said no under 25s
Then said that if i come back next year they could do it as i will have 1 years driving experience on the scoob! lol

Ill go through the same thing next year. lmao
