I have an MY00 Uk Turbo..AE 802 ecu. Will the Secs 1003 read Knock and AFR for me accurately.
Also if I go for a Tek 2 in the future will it still monitor and read this back to me.
MY00 full de-cat and induction kit at the moment but psooibly taking out the induction kit.

Will still work with a Tek2, as it is the same ecu, just remapped boost, fuel settings etc.

It shows knock correction IIRC, not actual knock detected as per the knocklink.

Think AFR is shown as a moving bar, give them a ring www.psi3.co.uk

Get Knocklink...like said, shows knock correction, but will not pickup actual knock which could be serious to engine.

No worries m8...I've already been through what your asking...

I'd also recommed det cans as extra safe det detection...knocklink is good, but not 100% safe in sun light and doesn't pickup up 100% of all det. I've heard mine det once, and only couple of lights on knocklink (only once though).

Det cans...they're just like headphones...you have pipes connected to parts of the block...these pipes connect to the headphones - allows you to listen to the engine and hear det - works really well, but do expect to hear drive train (constant noise which will increase with revs and power).

Probably a bit over the top to buy your own unless you plan on big mods / racing it etc

You need to know what you're listening for too.

Some of the tuning companies on here (BRD) can check it with their det cans.

Not really over the top m8...I fitted pipes etc...cost me nowt for the pipes...just used nipple connectors to block (holes with threads used) and bought headphones for about 5 pound. You soon get to know what det sounds like if you've got knocklink and your car does det.

I think it is. You can end up wrapping these cars up in cotton wool. Its not much different to a family saloon IMHO. Without mods
