hello all,

yes another misfire thread...!!!

Basically my car (MY95 WRX) has developed an intermitant misfire, it doesnt do it all the time, but when it does do it, its usually at around 5000rpm...

It seems to have got worse since i took the coil pack off the other day so i could get the plug out to see what plugs it had in it...

It also seems to bog down when pulling away slowly from stand still..

Im hopeing its just plugs and not coil packs..???

I think the misfire might of caused another problem, the engine seems to have pressured the breather system a bit, when it was misfiring and i recon the rocker cover may be leaking a bit...?? can this happen..?

Do you recon the first step should be to replace the plugs as i dont know when they were last changed..?? should i change them for PFR6B plugs as im not bothered about more power...

Dan

Cool

I think someone was organising a group buy of bosch coils, which came in at half the price of coilpacks plus the plug leads.

Question

I had a very similar problem with mine, and it turned out to be a damaged plug lead, caused by cack-handed removal,(not by me: )
