Went for the Matte screen 2Ghz 15.4" screen - really nice machine.

Vista? umm, how? I was under the impression that it would not install as it nees ACPI and Parallels does not support ACPI at the moment. If there's some trick to doing it, let me know

Yeh, noticed it gets a tad warm, but only when the battery is charging......
V happy with it so far. Gonna max the Ram out too.
Going to put it through its paces in the studio later this week. Then we'll see what's what

Dan,
Tried Parallels and Vista, it's a no-go. Installer says it's due to lack of ACPI. Ah well. Parallels say that ACPI support should be in the next major revision.

BC is not an option for me as I've got multiple partitions on the machine, and I'm not about to repartition and reinstall just to try out Vista.

Use my MacBook loads. Very impressed with it... apart from it's new habit of loosing the WiFi connection when coming out of a snooze.
Screen quality is amazing, love the glossy screen.

Are you running 10.4.7? If not upgrade and see if it makes a difference. might be worth having a look on macfixit.com and macintouch.com and seeing if anyone else has the issue and some workarounds for it.

Fair enough - will have a look at BootCamp, although I am thinking "why?"
I use Publisher a bit, but with it being dropped by Microsoft (source : IT manager at college), there's no REAL requirement for Windows at all, apart from the novelty value!! (games! )

Seems a little random, today it was fine.
I'll monitor it for now.
Cheers
