Well... changed the router unfortunatly as its past 28 days, no refund only a replacement however its an upgrade to the V3 ADSL2 model ?
still just as hard to configure, and set up.... it took an hour!! on the phone to there support line to resolve, and even then i dont think the guy had any idea.
I think ive resolved the dropping connection trouble.
BL**DY software ***** waving:GRR: it would apear that the dell wireless management utility was trying to fight with the windows utility, and so i could never configurre or exclude other networks in the area, and the dell util would always try to connect to the other one. this was in conflict to all the settings we,d enabled, so it kept dropping the connection....
as soon as i disabled this... bobs your.. and touch wood its still runing.
Quick Q though, the phone lead from the router to the adsl filter is woefully short, any ideas where i can get a longer one from?? or is the best way to get a longer ethernet cable and do it that way?

So your other routers were fine and down to the two software utils? Bummer if that was the case At least you are sorted now
I'd go for the extended Ethernet cable myself rather than the modem line extension.
