PGR is great now they've added the online tournament, I thought Ghost Recon was excellent but it aint my type of game, I mean getting shot in the head and dying whats that all about??? I prefer the guns blazing option, if you like your tactical shooter then its for you.

Prey is out today that'll be my next purchase

Call of Duty 2 great FPS good online as well.
Oblivion RPG amazing story great playability.
Rockstar Table Tennis cheap but easy to play and good fun online.
Plus with COD2 and Oblivion there are loads of updates coming out(new missions,maps,items etc) some are free,some you have to pay for.
With Live you can download demos of games that are already out which is good idea to plat before you buy.

 

Had some huge laughs whilst playing COD2 on Live after a beer or two .

Even when playing in campaign mode and sober, it's a brilliant game. Kept returning to it after I bought GRAW just because of the atmosphere COD2 creates - GRAW is soul-less and sterile in comparison.

There's a vid of COD3 available for download on Xbox Marketplace. Looks stunning (all 10 to 15 seconds of it )

It was released on marketplace during the E3 week. It's an official trailer/video not a cam job of somebody playing it at e3, looks very nice in HD

 

Burnout is good online, but Bizarre have ruined PGR online with the last update - getting into a race is nigh on impossible these days since they supposedly "fixed" the matchmaking. Please bizarre, I'd rather race against anyone, even a 0 than wait for another 3 30's to enter the lobby...

Some great games on the Arcade - Uno for instance.

Perfect Dark is still pretty good online, and there's tons of games going on ebay not for around £25.

 

I won around 15 games online and it's not registered the 10 win achievement, any ideas?

 

I remember it needs to be 10 wins in a 4 player game if that helps - computer controlled players dont count.

 

Its probably that, altho I was playing online there wasnt always people playing so it fills the table with comp players, bit of a cheek really, it's not my fault no ones playing

 

the player matches are where I got the bluff acheivement - I dont bother normally with bluffing - too risky.

PS Nathan - it wont be long before you can £300 odd quid for a console and all the bits and then play pacman on it

Weve only had it since Xmas, its been about 4 weeks since the last repair.

Surely this isnt normal/acceptable?

 

Mine still freezes - but its usually on the dashboard and not during a game

Strange how Ubisoft can make something as accomplished as GRAW and MS cant even tell you who's online without it f*cking up...

 

People are playing on Live with the modified dvd drive firmware.

I'm sure MS know about it, but as yet, have chosen not to do anything.

Although I'm sure that'll change

Back on subject. I don't know whether to get GRAW or COD 2? Which is the better game, for online too.

For those who have played both extensively of course!

 

I've got both and it's a tough call, both are excellent games in there own way.

COD2 is a great 1st person shooter, especially the single player on veteran mode. The online play is not bad.

GRAW is a great 3rd person ( or 1st ) tactical game, not quite as full on as COD2 but the online play is much better.

IMO get them and play them both at some point...

 

There is an offline and online demo of GRAW for download so you can atleast try that for yourself, as for COD i dont think theres anything in the way of demos or video.

 

GRAW for online, COD2 for offline.

just get both, everyone else has...
