Outlook problems.

I had this a lot with Outlook and rang my ISP - was told it was something to do with the firewall in the router..... got really fed up with it, they suggested using Outlook Express and touch wood since using OE... no probs in over 4 months

Could just be the NTL mail servers are down.

Have you checked the NTL service Status Page?

Happens intermittently and thought it was actually Outlook which I reinstalled with officeXP today.

Do you get a response if you try telnet to the POP3 server on port 110?

Dougster i get this if i try to do to much i.e upload via ftp, torrents, etc

I get this as well. Normal service resumes when NTL techie plugs mail server network cable back in....

It normally fixes itself after a while.

They are aware that some users may be experiencing send and recieve problems atm.

Anyone else get this? Also Outlook 'send and receive proccess' keeps showing itself!!

Dougster... untick the box to stop that window appearing. I also have an NTL email and every few days I get that error. Its NTL - not you

I could always give you a dougster@happybeaver.co.uk address
