Question

I'm sure you've heard it a million times before, but I've done a little homework and came to choose between Plusnet and Pipex. I'm interested in a 1 MB line, perhaps even going to a 2 MB line.

Any comments or experiences from anyone with the above companies would be gratefully received.

Hi Cem

I've been with Pipex for over a year and have had no problems at all. The service tends to be pretty quick as well. I've just ordered my upgrade to the 1mb service as its still sub £30 a month, new signups don't pay an activation fee either.

How difficult was it to get the uprade???? And what is the monthly charge???

To answer the original question.... I realy like Pipex. They are human and for the price you cant go wrong.. Only horror storiea where when they first started... now very smooth. Wont be changing thats for sure.

I'll put a vote in for PlusNet (seeing as nobody else has ). Been with them for about a year now, has no problems at all. Very good value for money!

Unhappy

I've just cancelled our PlusNet account. Personally thought they were sheight. Appalling customer service and router kept locking up - not that they cared.

Thumbs down

Mate of mine is with Plusnet or would be if they would wake up and give him an activation date! Poor customer service before he's even started!
I'm with freedom to surf and everythings fine so far enjoying my first week of broadband.
BT often enable your line a day early too, mine was!

Thumbs up

One more for plusnet - great VFM, I've always thought their service was pretty good (was on their dial up service which was excellent before switching to ADSL).

I've had a few hassles swapping from account account with them but they sorted it out very efficiently.
