Great results! Have you had a chance to test out the S206 on the road yet? I'm running one on my STI8, it's awesome, pulls very well with no lag between changes! Can't wait to see what it would run on the strip...

Only on the trip back from Zen and weather conditions did not allow for any full bore testing. Will try it this weekend, it's also the S215 not 206 btw

Loving this idea, we could tie it up with our Evo vs Scooby dyno day still to be finalised. We will be running it as a winter warmer and would love to see some Scoobies from further afield now the drag racing season is over.

Update on how the car performs. Fitted a temp. boost gauge so I could see exactly where it spools and lag between changes.

In fifth gear 1 bar is @ 3600 and full boost by 4000 rpm, very impressive.

Then lag between changes was a fear, should not have worried. It is am impressive turbo for sure.

Removed the Apexi AVC-R today as Simtek controls boost. Up for sale for £250 delivered.

Does the AVC-R only work in conjunction with a A'PEXi PFC ECU... Or will it work with a MY99 OEM EcuTek'd ECU too?

I have seen 2.3 bar by 3700rpm once while testing, dropped that back though, bit too much

It isn't at all shabby on a non AVCS car m8, I would be chuffed with that.
Happy with how the car feels then ?
I know it doesn't feel quite the same as your drag car, but does it feel quick ?

I have a nice range of Imprezas at home at the moment, a nice 380bhp wagon which is very quick, the Type R which very, very quick and a drag car without an engine so that's a little slow at the moment Know what your saying though, you can't explain how mental a 700 bhp car is until you have been in one but the Type R is stunning @ 500bhp, really pleased with it.

I should point out that I think Harvey Smiths uppipe is helping spool, not sure if you have used one before but they have proven results on other set ups and I think this is a big factor on my set up.

It was stupidly quick when it was on Mus's car, made my old 2.1 18g Type R feel like a micra

Yes m8, running a couple of them on customer cars and they do seem to help.

Made a little panel up this morning for the Type R from a Din blank plate and then added my switches for the Simtek LC/AL and 2 maps. Duncan popped in on his way home from up north and wired it all up. Got bloody cold though so packed it in for today and we'll finish it all off another time.

Very motorsport! ^^^

Will you be making up labels with one of those label tape embosser things i.e. thus maintaining the authentic motorsport look?

...You MUST use the RED coloured tape, a la motorsport. As the stretching makes the letters appear white. So the black panel, red label and white letters, all come together to create a cohesive aesthetic LOL!
