Type R caged track machine
Made a little panel up this morning for the Type R from a Din blank plate and then added my switches for the Simtek LC/AL and 2 maps. Duncan popped in on his way home from up north and wired it all up. Got bloody cold though so packed it in for today and we'll finish it all off another time.

I havent been that cold since ... ever ... my fingers wouldnt work and while hanging upside down wiring it seems my mind didnt work either LOL
Cheers for the awesome coffee again mate - see you again soon

Minor updates -
Have not driven the Type R in this weather although I did move cars around the other day to service a pals car. Switched the Anti lag on and it does sound good
Will get the final tweaks arranged with Duncan over the Xmas period.
I have been very busy sorting a Wagon I bought a couple of months ago getting it ready to sell on. It is a very nice car and will be a cheap fast wagon once all together. If anyone is after a nice clean fast Wagon drop me a line.
I have had an update on the Drag cars engine also today. The bores are absolutely fine so now it will just have a light hone and the pistons will be coated before Tim starts building it back up.
Also got one of those little machines to label the switches in the Type R

Seriously Clive, rather than rely on its own sticky-back, I'd seriously consider adding some double-sided sticky tape - Sellotape, 3M, Scotch, etc - and trim any excess with a scalpel/Stanley knife.
Otherwise, I think you'll find that the labels' own tackyness (or lack of!) will eventually dry out too quickly, and the label will come unstuck (esp. what with its 'convexness'
i.e. the natural tendency to want to spring up...)

Few bits done this weekend. I had to get another set of headers for the drag car as old ones were cracked in many places. Got another HKS set but they needed porting as I think you can see in the pics.
Also removed oil cooler as that's not needed for a drag application, I will move this over to the Type R soon.
