I think it was this one; 22B Bulletin Board: 2.1 wagon rebuild

You thinking of taking off the spoiler at all to further lighten it?

Also any thoughts on going up on the turbo? Are you running a rotated set up?

It will be interesting to run against you on the strip.
Don't worry m8 it's not your heads as he has them before xmas

Yes i'm running a rotated GT3040 and rotated inmanifold too.

I'm going to see how far i can take this turbo and if i get into the 10s then i'm happy. If not a turbo change is virtually just a drop in replacement unless i want a Twin Scroll GT35r.

JP what have you done to your car? and is Chy going to fettle it?

Would be good to see everyone come out for a meet at the pod in spring..

Especially seeing Sy's car in action.

JP When's your beast going to be finished?...

Have you started on your build yet?...
11.1? bloody good time that is....was this in a classic or new age and did you have any weight reduction (not you personally btw! )? Regardless it is a good time.

As for the beast.....she is doing fine....a little fragile on these wet/icy roads....she likes to wiggle!

You going to the pod at all? I am tempted to go before the season commences.

Twin scroll...twin scroll...twin scroll...twin scroll.....

As for mine, it's a puddy cat ...nowt special m8.....I am going up to York in Feb/Mar and thought I would drop in at Chy's (Leeds based) - have heard lots of good things about him from people. His engine building abilities and knowhows are top notch.

You got any other mods lined up?? And when is Santa Pod on the cards?

PMSL! .....Cats come in different forms m8

How you doing m8? All's well on my end - just been busy with work...long hours etc so not been able to do anything on the car side apart from having a good chat with the builder. Had a text from "R" the other day about meeting up - I am more than up for it depending on weather and place. Am not sure some of the lot who appeared last time are too keen on meeting as not had any feedback from them. Perhaps our cars were too "slow and plain" for them? Sy will get this for sure as he had the slowest looking car PMSL!

SleeperSy's car well what can i say - those 1.6Gl motors just don't really cut the mustard.

But i must say we're kind of hi-jacking Fudges thread here and i would personally say we should create a thread for this chit chat re our meets and bits and bobs in the general section......will be back in 2 mins with the link where this can be continued and again all are welcome for the natter here.

Looking forward to the summer months. Just took it out for a blast.
I should be hearing from Olly/Matt any day......
Fudge <---- looking forward to collecting the car in a few weeks. I seem to have waited forever to achieve the full potential of the car, getting the car strong enough for the end result but not long now.

It may prove the case that RCM's NO2 system could be fitted at the same time??...... not sure yet, anyway if they don't 580 - 600bhp will do until they fit it.
In reality the NO2 will mainly be used in competition. I am not sure exactly how much additional power the Gas O Ring NO2 will produce. It increases The Gobstopper by 125 bhp, so I guess it wont be far off that?

It will be weird with the car finished !...........playtime

When you get it run in i'll have to drive down to you and get a spin in it.

Clive - i think this is a great project thread therefore set up a natter thread. Would be nice to keep this great project thread of yours purely about how you did it with pics of you and motor. Plus the progress and updates.

Oh and hows business going?

Yeah "A" I know now it's you - was slightly confused with the username!! PMSL!

As for the weather it's a little like Torvill and Dean on Ice with me and my "1"! ...I just hope mine doesn't do the triple toeloop!! PMSL!

I hear the Middlesex lot (Guv and team) are organising a Feb meet? You going to that? Skullfudge is trying to organise our next meet down Saaarf London so keep an eye on this thread.

Skull - any joy on the next meet? I know Baly, Raj, Sy, Ian, Scoobyhoo are up for. May have another couple of scoobs who'd be looking to come up with me.

Sun would def be better as less traffic around. I will be up for Sun 1st or 8th Feb.

Besides being my birthday in Feb I am expecting a drink from you lot....hence I'm gearing towards a Harvester!

1) SkullFudge
2) JP (either 1st or 7th Feb)

Hi Guys,

Could we do the 8th?

The 1st is RWYB at the Pod - and if weathers ok will be up there laying down sum rubber. (Or breaking somink)

Suggestion -We could meet in the City Pride Pub on the Isle of Dogs, Ive seen a few car clubs meet there, and when I went passed there today ay 11am, the car park was empty. (takes about 30 cars), as all the yuppies have gone home at the weekend. They do food in there as well. If we get there early say 11.30, I would say well have pleanty of parking and be able to have a chat and I bite to eat as well. And if the pub object to us turning up, we can just run down to Blackheath.

Only a suggestion guys - im also happy to go the Blackheath as well.

Sy.

PS - updated my thread with some pics of the work I was doing today.

I cannot comprehend what a 600 bhp Scoob is like, a WR1 is the fastest Scoob I have been in, nearly twice the power must be almost as terrifying as the bill to have it done.

Is it hard to get a chance to open it up, must run out of road very quickly.

Thanks Sy.

That's strange you mentioning a Dremel. I started using one 3 wks ago and it's really good for getting in all the nooks especially the alternator. Other than that, yep by hand.

The car isn't at 600bhp yet Jacko, a couple of weeks it will be. Only running 420-430bhp at moment.
You are correct about running out of road, as any of the guys running 400+ will tell you the same.

When I was running at 320bhp I was told the difference between 300 & 400 was big, and it is.
When you are Harry Flatters you get somewhere else very quickly.
You also need to be on the case regarding braking distances too.

I have also been told by good sources that the difference between 400 & 600
is huge.
Having experienced the jump from 310/320 to 420/430 in the same car, I am expecting it to be hilariously good.

With RCM's NO2 it will be over 700. At the moment, I am not sure what that's going to feel like?
