I don't think all the kits are the same, the earlier kits seem to have slightly different pipework. There ain't massive differences just a couple of angles and lengths have changed on the later ones.

I'm gonna have another play with it in the morning as some of the pictures that have been posted on this thread have given me ideas. I'll post my results! lol

Post some pics of the pipework you have. You might have pipework for a newage car. They don't run the same way as a classic from memory.

Looks like youre making progress at last If you need more pics let me know.
Anyone can make one fit but its hard to make a neat job of it. Be very mindful of the long pipe touching the live battery terminal. I wrapped the pipe with silicone hose so the pipe does chafe the boot on the live.

Womens hair spray is supposed to be the trick for stopping the silicone pipes blowing off.

****ing hell that's a bit sketchy. I wouldn't fancy that pipe being that close to the battery terminal.

The fpr is vacuum pressure only. The pipe is a tight fit. All the cheap after market cooler pipes are danger close to the battery terminals.

Lol tbh it was my fault. No battery clamp, and no insulation around the pipe. Was bound to happen

As said earlier in the thread, the core itself is decent but the pipework is poor. I would imagine the pipework is the same found in the japspeed kits which is all ebay tat.

They changed the pipe work on later kits to snap ring clamps with '0' ring seal's
I know this of newage so I expect classic fitment would also have a upgrade ?
So on that basis I would say this is a early kit
Might be worth trying to source some updated pipes for your core as that fitment looks bad
