Using the web site above for reference.
Q. What is the best value tyre on the market right now... today?
Q. And who is supplying the tyres at the best prices?
I'm about to but some tyres, i want low noise and good grip....

Falken f452's are what ive just stuck on my classic, standard setup, car came with parada 2's which i thought were good in the dry but terrible in the wet, ive always been a toyo/vredestein man myself but took a jump with the falkens this time and so far extremely impressed in dry use, very very sticky, not tried them out in the wet yet and to early to tell for wear but they give off little road noise also.
well worth a try...(depending how i find them in the wet)

Jeff, I want to try Falkens going by what others have said about them. I do however agree Toyo t1r's are pants as they just let go in comparison to other tyres I've had on Impreza's. There is no gradual loss, it's either grip or gone. The Bridgestone Re050's on it currently are superior to Toyo's IMO but £115 a corner.
Toyo T1r's are approx £74.75 at Camskill for Jeff's size (215/40/17), whilst the equivalent Falken 452 is a whopping 60 PENCE a corner cheaper. Cheap chav tyres eh?

ALWAYS spend as much as you can on a decent tyre because at the end of the day it's the only thing connecting you with the road!
Iv had Goodyear f1's falken 452 and Bridgestone 050 the f1 were probely the best then the 050 and falken ok in the dry slippy in the wet just my thoughts though each to there own and driving style

Falken are sold on advertising: Ripspeed etc
Toyos on their performance.
If Andy had modded his suspension BEFORE his engine, (like sensible people do), THEN fitted Toyos, he'd know how good Toyos could be.
But driving on poor AND tired suspension, he needs tyres that let go sooner.......and give plenty of notice, not grip

I had Toyo T1R's and T1S's on my 205 GTi which I hill climbed and found them pretty good.
I had a blowout on the motorway in my Classic last year and had to buy 2 new tyres. The only half decent one's in my budget were Avon ZV5's.
I have to say I'm pleased with them. I only use them for 'spirited driving' on my every day Impreza but They seem decent enough in the wet and dry.
Has anyone tried Toyo R1R's?

I ran my 205gti on Eagle F1s which where very good but fast wearing. I replaced with Uniroyal Rainsport II's and they were phenomenal on the little Pug. Dry and wet grip were outstanding and they didn't wear as quick as the Goodyears. Lighter car though with better handling than an Impreza.

I have had Uniroyal rainsports and currently Continental sport contact 5's , I have always liked the Uniroyals.... fantastic in the wet and still good in the dry, usually a mid price too.

So...... Wet day up here today and fallen tyres = pretty pathetic in the wet, very disappointed as they're spot on in the dry, in that respects if def not recommend them to anyone else.... Got a mate running the new vredesteins and he's swearing by them...

We are tried Falken FK452 those has been OK like in dry or wet.
T1R on the New age is big NO,because T1R have too soft sidewall,on classic seems are OK,but on new age are poor or any heavier car
We are now running Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta which working well like on track/drag or road
Jura

I'd rate Falken as a good every day tyre - tried yokohamas, dunlops and a few other including ditchfinders (linglong - came with the car, left with the bin man) and they work well, great in the dry, safe in the wet as long as you don't go mad. I expect there are better wet weather tyres but they'll cost twice the money which for me is pointless as I don't go mad
