Good evening all...
Has anybody had any experience with these tyres on there newage (blob specifically) Impreza?
http://www.ears.co.uk/p3292/225/40-1...duct_info.html
For the price I think they look stunning, similar to the road/track Toyo r888 but for £75 a corner. They have a rather short critique, so that is why I'm asking you'll.
They will mainly be for day to day road use with the occasional track day?
Thanks in advance.

I use them for sprinting in the soft compound. There good for track. If your using them for a lot of laps go for the med compound. the soft will go off very quickly
they are e marked and road legal with speed ratings etc etc.although you wouldnt want them on your car all the time. They are very very noisy over about 50mph. There also ok on a damp track but totally rubbish with standing water. If your going to use them as a pure trackday tyre go for them. If for road then dont.
You are aware there remolds which is why there so cheap

This is a perfect review and just what I was looking for. Thanks for your help. Yes I was aware they are remoulds, as long as they have been tested and are acceptable, I have no issue with them these days.

A friend of mine had a set on a classic, after two laps of the ring and two sessions at combe the rears delaminated making quite a mess. Not sure if they were soft or mediums and as said above incredibly noisy on the road.

obvously i cant say but sounds like they were soft. They are very soft and heat up very quickly. From cold my sprint times are 70,80 maybe 90 seconds dependand on track. In that short time the do get really hot and sticky. Great for what i want but will overheat at a circuit.
