I have a local supplier of separate bells for the Alcon Setup.

These will then take the AP racing discs.

Anyone interested email me offline.

Russell,

You have mail ( I hope )

What's the advantages of using this? I'm guessing that the AP disc are lighter than the all in one standard discs. Correct?

Dave.

Dave,
I have no doubts that the benifits woukld be twofold, firstly you get the advantage of having seperate bells, ie, less likelyhood of warping, and secondly, the cost of replacing the discs will be much less than the £6-700 that prodrive want for discs.

Correct Ron.

The AP disc are about £300 ish for the pair so once you have made the initial investment into the bells you are saving your hard earned.

Ok, we have a solution to this "problem".

Bells to carry the AP Racing discs are £150.00 + VAT each
AP Racing discs (48 vane) are circa £168.00 each.

Consequently, changing to the SM/AP Hybrid is still cheaper than replacing with genuine Alcons!

After that, it is substantially cheaper as you or the person who has the car after you, will only need to purchase the discs.

Anyone with a specific requirement for these, please drop me a line?

We can also supply the AP discs and our own bells to replace the Alcon ones ,
24 vane 330mm x 28mm discs and bells £600 a pair inc VAT
48 vane 330mm x 28mm discs and bells £700 a pair inc VAT

Replacement 24 vane discs £168 + vat each ,
Replacement 48 vane discs £199 + vat each .

Cheers , Ian
