AP vs Alcon

Question

guys,

which is better, alcon or ap? i've got a set of prodrive alcon package at the front right now and screeches all the time unless it's really really hot. does ap screeches too?

There is something wrong with your Alcons then as mine don't schreech at all. What pads are you running?

Same set up as me then, except I run with Stainless hoses and DOT 4.0 (4.1? can't remember, but didn't bother with 5.1, got mine from scoobysport (Silkolene race stuff) and its good). Weird. How did u bed them in, and have you used them in anger recently? If all they get is very light use then it's possible they have glazed = squeeks and inefficient. Some big stops (a few fast 70-10mph somewhere safe) should sort that out if its the problem.

Just for info: same setup here (Alcon/DS2000) no squeeks. In fact it's about the only thing that doesn't squeek, rattle, cloink or crunches on the car
