What Tyres??
Hi,
I've not long had my first Scooby (02) and need to buy some new tyres for the 1st time.
Has anyone got any recommendations as to what I should / shouldn't be buying, and what sort of prices to be expecting?
Someone recommended to go with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 tyres. Best price I have found is £98 each fitted.
Should I snap their hands off or shop around for something else?
Cheers

I'm just looking at replacing two front PZero's.
£112 fitted. However I was pointed to Leigh Tyres (leightyres.co.uk) and they are selling 4x 205/40/17's Toyo T1-s for £250 delivered.
Not as good as the -r, but fine value for money. You just need to find a garage to fit them.. probably about £40.
They've got plenty of other sizes available (you will probably need 215's) so check out the site..
Otherwise mytyres.co.uk offer similar stuff.

Sorry to be boring, but Toyo T1-R, it has to be! There aint another tyre like it in the universe!
LOL.
PS, MaDaSS has not used any other tyre, so this is personal opinion only and in no way expert. Haha.

From what I have read here and from other sources the new Toyo T1r is good, the Eagle F1 is better and lasts longer, but the best of the bunch in wet and dry conditions and the tyre that will give far more miles, is the Bridgestone Potenza RE050. Many people got put off the Potenza's as the RE010 and 030 were not too good in the wet, but so it seems, the RE050 is the dogs and there is an even newer one just come out, RE920 I think, but have no feedback on that yet.
I have P-Zero's on mine and they are useless in the wet, going to Potenza's on Saturday.

Hi sky-d
Reading the posts on the F1's and my own experience. They will feel a bit slippery until you done about 1000 miles. Then they will be scubbed in and feel absolutely planted.
the tyre walls seem to be softer than the original Bridgestones so take it easy until you get the feel of them and have clocked up a 1000mls
