Default Porsche GT4 A38

Just wanting to share my excitment of my First Proper Dual in my newley owned 380bhp JDM Scoobs.........Glued to the back end of a brand new Porsche GT4 for 8 - 9 miles up the A38 from Lichfield to Burton, incedently 10 miles in the opp direction to which i needed to be!

Thumbs up and a nodding head later from the slighty Narked off GT4 driver it was all over and we went our seperate ways!

Shaking like a leaf and ten minutes in a quiet layby afterwards i was able to continue my journey in the correct direction!

Never ever will i ever underestimate the power off one off these little beautys we call Scoobs! Fantastic.

Ps But i must also say, that GT4 Is the Nuts, what a machine, the width of the whole lane...Monster.

"NO SPEED LIMITS WERE BROKEN IN THIS 8 MILE ACTIVITY!"

A while a go I was testing the Scoob in German on an unrestricted Autobahn. I was massively pleased with myself when an indicated 147 MPH was achieved. It took a while to get there, not quickly but measured.

I was poohing my pants, the bonnet was trying to lift and the SECS unit was indicating a bit of warmth was building up.

I was only to happy to pull in and let the Porker that was parked on my rear bumper to sale past like I was stode still. He did nod his acknowledgement though.

I am sure that was a GT4 or similar.

Next year the Foggy gets the same chance.

In fairness this was a populated A38 but we did have some clear straights, coming on to the sweeping slip road we both started tapping away it and in fairness he wasnt leaving me anywhere.

Obviously with a longer straight the 193mph would start to come into it, but toe tapping to toe tapping im smuggley impressed. A great buz.

Porsche GT2 has 530 bhp and is a complete animal. So he may have been running in his new engine gently whislt you were following him.
I know of a 480 bhp 996 turbo which struggles to pull away against a modded Subaru or Evo until over 100 mph.

Googled the car and it's there.

That being said my little legal play on the Autobahn was a while ago so it may have been a Carrera 4S. At that speed the last thing you notice is car badges.

Rusty bullet hole tension is far more important.

I attempted to keep up with this in Germany, safe to say, I had more chance of nailing fog to the floor!!!

So when I got to the Nurburgring, I had a play with something slightly slower

Daz, we were on a restricted part of the autobahn!! As soon as it became unrestricted, he was gone!! By the time I reached my top end he was out of sight!! I passed a layby a few miles on and he had time to have a four course meal and a bog break

But boy did I have fun chasing it
