Who's going to be the scapegoat?
To carry on a long-standing English tradition. We must name a scapegoat. This way we have someone to blame for not playing well enough.
Top Candidates are:
Beckham
Darius Vassell
One of the Neville Brothers (pick your favourite)
Paul Scholes
Rooney (for getting injured)
Ronaldo (for playing against us and being quite good)
The other fella who scored
The evil conspiring penalty spot
The referee
Erikson
Seriously, though can we please not do this this year? Fickle choices of who's to blame, hanging effigies off lampposts, booing our own squad. None of it is good for us in the long run. Lets just get them ready for Germany 2006, where we will go all the way.

I hope your right but if we make it there and we take part in any penalty shoot-outs I'M DEFINATELY NOT GONNA WATCH
BTW Eriksson, Beckham and for a short while tonights Referee will get the majority of criticism...
