The answer to your question is probably no. As insurance and cheap don't come hand in hand anymore.

My mate got a quote off Adrian Flux - £1300, and he's in his 40's, clean licence and full no claims. I have used Keith Michaels for the last 5 years and last year mine was £452 on a modified impreza. A lot depends on if the car is garaged or on a drive, as the above mate was quoted nearly £800 off Gary Moulson with his car being on the road. I've just found out my insurance is up in 10 days so not really looking forward to the quote I'll be getting this year, as the average quote has gone up 30% from last year !!

I tried to get hold of Gary, but after leaving messages, no joy.

Spoke to Chris at A Plan, and while not the cheapest (swinton were the cheapest), he was a really nice chap and totally understood both my car, and english, so was happy to take his quote.

i am with A plan and due my renewal and also currently in the process of pondering wether making a claim for an accident i had yesterday (no one else involved, just my own damage) and have to say that A plan are a very professional outfit and go that extra mile to advise and help you whenever you need it. very competitive prices but customer service i have always found to be excellent, unlike others i have been with previously that once they have your money cant be arsed giving you the time of day!

They do seem to be a bit hit and miss. My brother never seems to get a good quote but I'm 37 and i've just renewed my modded V3 for 467 (was under 400 last year). Skye Insurance couldn't get anywhere near my renewal!

Green wagon is due next month and was just over £300 so wait and see

Talks sense and get the job done
