My understanding is you buy them from a licensed mapper for ~£900 with fitting & mapping inc

Or the Bay, used and go from there, although I think this option doesn't yield a worthwhile saving or benefit

What mods are you currently running?

I have a classic with a simtec and will be breaking the whole car and listing all parts on here at the start of next week. If you want to hold out?

If your not planning major power then a power FC is a good choice. Quite a bit cheaper too.
What car do you have by the way ???

Have to agree just from personal experiance, had EcuTek, Links, Gems in some of previous Imprezas and by far when your over the 350 bench mark with engine and supporting mods the Simtek is defo the winner for all round driveability, further mods, reliability no lumpiness or idle issues just as long as you get a top mapper's hands on it ie Duncan (Dynamix), Simon (JGM) or Martyn down at EngineTuner.

All the best

I'm a fairly new Simtek dealer. I map GEMs, motec, link, megasquirt etc. There is nothing that out classes the Simtek for the price and the ability it has.

The biggest benefit is running mafless, along with switchable maps, closed loop lambda control and OEM style starting and running.

I retail them at £960 all in, antilag and launch is an extra option.

Hope this helps,

Graham

We have been installing and mapping these for years, and were amongst the first to do so. We set up the first customer versions of the new age, and the very first STi we equipped with one is still being enjoyed by the same owner. In our view these are best set up on a dyno.
