Default bhp/torque???

Ive got the dyno printout that came with my car, i want to know what BHP/TORQUE figure u would use? there is a few BHP/TORQUE figures im confused as im not up on the dyno jargon? cheers

one st of lines will be the standard power for that make of car the other will be what the car is actualy putting out

Hmmm, i got 1.corrected power 348.2bhp
2.engine power 347
3.wheel power 222
4.drag power 123.9

Torque, 452.9 Nm @3820rpm/106.5 kmh

so whats the BHP/TORQUE

I think I need to look it up and understand it properly on the net

Corrected power is, I believe, the figure to use as it takes into account corrections for atmospheric pressure and temperature at the time of the run.

Your torque figure converts to 334 ftlb.

Since dyno figures are somewhat variable, I would round the power figure down and say that your car is about 345bhp/335ftlb. Or, at least, it was on those rollers on that day

Strange how the wheel power is so low, 125bhp transmission loss!

That's typical for that type of rollers - can't remember the make, but it's the same for the one used by PowerStation.

yep agree the rollers at powerstation give a massive transmission loss, something to do with the way they measure coastdown losses. Think it's a mahle or something like that
