personally mate I wouldnt do it, firstly its done 90'000 miles and with it being "chav' ed" up its going to be 90'000 hard miles and secondly any engine management light on is a massive no no instantly, no-cat = MOT faliure as well.
if you looking for a decent bugeye just stay patient and one will turn up at the right price/mileage for example about 2 months ago I looked at a 2002 02 reg WRX with 45k on the clock one owner from new unmolested standard for £4200 so i'd hold fire.

A de-cat is not an MOT failure as long as the up pipe cat is in place (had no issues with both my MY 01 Bugeyes). Full de-cat will cause this.
CEL can be interrogated to find the fault. It could be a minor fault like the MAF.
Mileage is not an issue either as long as the service etc is full and in good order.
As for being "chave-ed up"............pish! take the lights off and fit what every you like.
But bargain hard, mileage, CEL should take at least a few hundred off.
It's your cash at the end of the day.

sorry didnt mean to upset everyone,
all i ment was obviously as most know the bugeye has 3 cats and personally i would take the description as de-catted meaning all 3 are gone (inc uppipe) and that is a MOT faliure you need at least 1 regardless of which one is there,
lets face it thats one of the first mods us people do remove the up-pipe. as with the chav-ing it up lighten up guys i was merely refering to the horrid lexus lights that most saxos, puntos and other rubbish cars also have, obviously consider it but for me it sounds quite expensive for over £4000 if it was £3200 though that would be a different kettle of fish
