I've been told that generally you can push them to about 400bhp on standard internals but it wouldn't be advisable to go much higher to achieve this you'll need few more goodies that what you've mentioned above.

From what you've listed for modifications various mappers seem to achieve anywhere from 315bhp-350bhp.

Not saying buy mine which is for sale but if your near Cambridgeshire area mine has all the bits you mention above and your welcome for a spin to see how it performs to give you an idea.

You will need to upgrade the turbo for 400bhp, plus injectors, fuel pump and a couple of other minor items, though on a nice note, always travel to see a nice car, you may be surprised at what you end up with!

Furthest I've travelled for a car is 390 miles. Although when selling my Supra someone from Hungry was flying over to view mine and a few others in the UK thats pretty far to come.

My mate is running 454bhp on his 03 sti with standard internals. Was mapped last jan at enginetuner.co.uk and is his daily drive. No problems what so ever and runs anti-lag, launch control on a 10% meth mix. You will still need a decent budget to make this power but it is doable on standard bottom end. Also check out jd5217. Slightly less power but only by a few hp and totaly standard internals. Call Martyn at enginetuner.co.uk on 01752 345 880 with your requirements!

Bit far for me mate, would probably use Wallce Performace in Aberdeen, Russell mapped my EVO and was very happoy with the results Or use Andy Forrest and would do all the fitting of parts myself

Hi Taylor, so you too fancy the darkside, if your budget can stretch to it i,d go for a Spec C, great car fella, you,ll be amazed how good they are out of the box, they,ll make an Evo feel quit boring, REALLY..

Hi Pete 'staffi'

No Spec C is out of budget mate, just bought the wife a Focus ST 2 and dont really want to spend more than 10K MAX!
Thought on goin for an EVO 6 or 7 but that would be a step back from my 8 so thought Id give the sti a shot!

You should get a nicISH car for that mate, DON,T rush in and panic buy so to speak, have a good mooch around and choose carefully and you,ll get yourself a good car.

After i sold my Forged 8 MR i bought that Spec C and it was just amazing, remember my MR had 470 bhp too, but the way the Spec C delivered the power and how i handled was superb.

I,ve now sold that cus it was monet just sat in the garage tbh and got myself a V3 STI running Motec etc and 330/331 and must says it,s probably one of the best cars i,ve had.. fun factor and just sheer rawness is awesome and it only weighs about the same as a bag of sugar..

Keep us posted mate..
