Martin I don't think the 18g would see that power, More like a 20g + meth to get that.

If you want a nice 400bhp turbo with a good spool up then look no further than the MD321 H.

I'm running an 18G (monster ported deadbolt) at around 400 BHP but I needed to resort to aquamist water / methanol injection to do it LOL

The MD321 would be a better bet

i really dont want any lag so 18g spool up seems to be better than 20g esp in a car weighing 900kg rather than a scooby lol
still waiting for andy f to reply so thought i would ask on here as well
thanks

i dont think andy forest sells the 18 g no more as he stated to me that the 20g you can get more power with less strain and it spools up almost as quick

i run a 18g on a new age sti with vvt ofcourse. was seeing around 370bhp and 350 torque on pump fuel. also as instant a response as the o/e vf 35. those figures were on delta dash after mapping and also a couple of months later on a set of rollers and within 3 bhp difference of each other. Ive since had a simtek fitted and am running one map with 10% e85. Im not to sure it has anymore power but certainly the torque has increased buy quite alot. Havent had it on any rollers since using e85

so id say 370 is a realistic max for an 18g

At that light weight of the car have you thought about a Hybrid TD04 or similar for almost zero turbo lag

I believe the TD05 20G turbo's are good for 390 - 440BHP, with or without race Juice. so the write up states. Mods are required to the fuel, ECU Air and exhaust.

Ive just done some mods to my 1999 UK2000 Impreza Wagon, fitting a Green series panel filter, heat wrapped St.St Toyo equal headers, wrapped twin to single uppipe, wrapped 3.5inche downpipe straight through fitted a OBX-R Green Series
TD06-20G (690cfm) Turbo, wastegate set to 15Psig, (To be Adjusted) when ECU is remapped this coming Friday.. The power is incredibale once your in the rev range. The Turbo spools up from around 3700rpm - 3900rpm. If you want a nipper car round town go for the TD05- 16 or 18G it spools up at a lower rpm... Your not waiting for the boost.
This evening I will be fitting my new Walbro fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and new injectors 550cc, giving a complete service, filters, all oils, spark plugs, leads etc.
I have filled it to the brim with V-Power and will be adding injector cleaner for the pipes and injector unit then Doing a ECU reset.

Will let you know what it kicks out once remapped, this is a UK 2000 so Im hoping for a SAFE 300 - 325BHP, Some say more others say less.... Just hope the UK Engine can take it.

Should be fun and could be expensive

some people get 400 out of them. i think your ok engine wise at 320 or 330 but its a possibility the gearbox wont last long if your going to launch it hard and rag it through the gears

I know what you mean, 5000rpm side step the clutch. ger box will last 5mins.

I Put the car on the ramps this afternoon, serviced it, fitted the fuel pressure regulator and the 255lph Walbro fuel pump. Will be putting the new injectors in tomorrow night. started to get stressed and tryed.

Speaking to a tuning centre early they said for more accurate boost measure, I will have to get a three way boost solinoid, replacing my two way solinoid.
I have just ordered one off ebay now. WRX STI version 4 type RA for 20 pound, bargin! although will it will need slight modification.

Remapping will commence on friday morning.. cant wait.!!
The guy said with that with the mods I have done I should expect around 360 to 380bhp... brake coversion maybe required too. when I can afford it.

188 should give about 370bhp i reckon but andy is recommending 20g as if mapped similar spool up,one 20g i was in was very laggy but in retrospect reclon it was the mapper..
