i just brought a 05 2.0 wrx with ppp which i pick up next weekend, but theres a couple of things i never checked that you guys might be able to help with.

first is the alarm on it, is there one or is it just an immobiliser ? it has a red flashing light in the middle of the dash if that helps or do they all have these?

second thing is whats the oe radios like, its one with tape/cd combo. is the standard stereo pretty good as standard or should anything need uprating. but i do have a pioneer bluetooth unit out my old car to fit in when i get round to it.

third and final thing is, the car has full service history and is from a subaru main dealer, its been stood for a fair bit and is on 28000 miles. the guy said he will check the service book and if it needs servicing he will get it done and put a fresh mot on it as the old one finishes in may. but what service will be needed. defo a minor service as its been stood. but what else?

Yes it should have an alarm on it.
Radio is ok but nothing flash.
30k service is a major service costing around 300 quid.

the speakers are pretty garbage!

they will probably just do a visual check on fluid levels.

what does a 30k service include?

30k service is

Replace: engine oil and filter, engine coolant, fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs and filters, transmission oils. Inspect the rest etc.

Should be around £300, so if you can get them to do it before you collect that is a real bonus as the 40k one is just oil, filter and brake fluid.

Standard stereo is terrible..........absolutely terrible!

is there more then one type of facia panel to fit single din stereo?

i fitted a 6.5" double din DVD player to mine, looks really nice, plus you can get the sat nav box to go with it
