Default Sold my scooby today

Sold my scooby today £1200 Chap drove it 300 odd miles home without a hicup.. Shame but it was starting to cost a bit much on the old fuel bill.

My toy does 15mpg so a daily driver that just about manged 20mpg was no good Now running a diesel as a daily driver.. Ahh well maybe i'll get another when moneys not so tight!

Cheers for everyones help with my questions

It's a shame the way used car prices have gone now - well if you're selling!

I just sold mine a week ago today. I have a Focus ST170 for getting about in for the time being. Mint with FFSH and only 27k miles on the clock. Shouldn't cost me much.

What is your toy that gets 15 mpg?

Old land rover with a re-built v8 under the bonnet.. sounds lovely and goes like stink upto about 50 then its all over heh!

Its not a great time to sell at all.. and there are soo many time wasters out there.. Some guy asked, in all seriousness, if I would swap the car for a radio controlled helicopter

Some people just take the mick!

Yeah, I must have had about 12 enquiries in the few weeks it was on Pistonheads, and the only person that came to see it was the guy who bought it - gets a bit annoying when you are dragging out the old pc to send pics of the interior, underside of the car etc in emails, and then they don't even phone back.

I do fancy doing a bit of offroading! You maybe don't use your V8 one for that...but it's still something I think would be a laugh, and I'll definetly be trying it.

i use a mondy ST24 (2.5 V6) as a daily driver and it costs more to run than the scoob which baffled me...even if it is a V6??

YouTube - Series III 109" V8 off road Weekend before last Built for playing in the mud and sleeping in the back!

Had one chap phone up and ask me to put six months tax on it.. I told him it had a months left to run, and he started babbling on about being on a really tight budget. Yes well don't buy a scooby then!
