Question Do I Need a Re-Map?

I always use the Number 4 Pump at my Shell Garage, but – stupidly – I have filled up this morning from the Number 2 Pump!!

Is it safe to drive? Please help, I am beside myself.

Nice one Peter

I have to admit being in a similar position.

As I'm rapidly approaching my 68th birthday I find my eyesight is not as it once was, and I too, often mistake the pump numbers. You're not alone my friend.

Although Pete, my chariot is capable of running on a mix of badger fart and horse urine, so be safe in the knowledge that your car will not need a remap from using either pumps 2 or 4.

I'd advise throwing a match into the tank to be sure.

If you've used the correct fuel, it will all be ok.

I'm worried, shall I call one of the reverend mappers who frequent these pages?

They can bring their Det-Cans and Laptop and make the ECU believe that it was number 4 pump petrol and not the number 2 pump fuel

I can hear Det. I'm sure of it ....

Apologies, I forgot to mention lighting the match before throwing it.

You could stick an ordnance survey map down the fuel inlet and hold a match to that obviously. I've heard off several SN users that it should work well on your car.

Who would be the best person to purchase this kind of map from and what do they charge for such a custom map?

Brenda also says that she can hear ''blacking'' coming from the engine compartment . Unfortunately I have no idea what she is referring to.

I quickly counter by calling her a Hermaphrodite. Seems to shut her up rather swiftly.

Ah, Cyril. A true dilemma you have.

Possibly William Harry Smith might be able to help you, but a true 2008 map may not yet be available.

As for the blacking, that's a tough one. <edited the rest of my reply to stay a bit PC>

Last time I had a re-map after visiting an unfamiliar petrol station I got a Collins 2007 Atlas.

Its large size and colour-keyed routes made navigation a joy

Found these PSL threads rather amusing. No need for a ban I feel.

How long has it been since his last ban? It must be a couple of months?

I personally think he's done pretty well this time around, I even read some constructive posts by him (not many).

I expect he will be back in 1 - 2 weeks, miss him already.

Who gave him an infraction for having a laugh on April Fools Day?

Whoever it was needs to lighten up a little.

I don't know, how do you start a pole?

Does it involve any form of debauchery?
