Question

Following on from my knock post…

Is it possible to re-map PPP ECU? I don’t want to have to pay out on a standard re-mapped ECU e.g. £625 + VAT from PE. I see this as starting again! I know I could sell the PPP ECU but I would like to keep it for re-sale value of the car.

Any ideas out there?

Chris

It is worth starting again IMHO. Makes no odds which physical ECU you start with. I use AE802 code with AE801 map with a few tweaks as a base to start from. For copyright and quality reasons I would not start with an AE801 PPP map.

John, I know from reading posts on here that you do a lot of re-mapping work. My problem is what PE are offering will only give me the same performance that I have now, to get more BHP will have to pay on top of the £625!

I suggest then fitting a Dawes device and a knocklink and setting it to run 1.2-1.25 bar or 17.5-18 PSI held boost in top gear. If you want more power fit a bigger turbo.
