5K will get a good UK example with reasonable mileage.

be careful if you get an import, a lot go and have gone pop although the STI's are reputedly to have a stronger block.

A standard UK 2000 Turbo runs about 215-220bhp but an exhaust, filter and remap will see this push closer to 270-280 bhp'ish this is the limit as theses come with the TD04 turbo which is smaller but spools up quicker and tbh makes a really nice fast point to point car.

earlier imports had the TD05 turbo and you can get a bit more out of them.

beware though once you start modding you cant stop.

Mine was bought for 7k - it now stand me at 13k

Hi fellow RST owner!!! Hey, I wont slate you, use to have a Series 2 a few years ago, totally standard but still cost me the price of a small carribean island to keep it going................ 1st week after buying it - Bottom end, then gearbox, then turbo............ then sold it!!! But I loved it all the same!!!

Good luck with the Scooby search, ace car to own and drive!!!

I know. Mine was standard, but still put a smile on my face, even though it was only doing 8psi It was my first turbo car, and I loved it!!
AWD is great fun! I love my scooby, and wouldn't change it for the world..... well maybe an Evo 6.....

Any piccys of your S2? What year was it? Mine was a white '90, so it was the "facelift" model, well newer spolier!!

Square, actually the cars held together well, as its never been welded and it doesnt need welding either, as i looked at 100s before i got this one.

1168 am running 16psi and thats plenty for me and the engine.

Thanks all for the welcomes just gotta find the right scooby for me !!!
