Newbie to BBS. Newbie to Scoob (UK MY00 1000 miles)

Probably an old chestnut, but I don't understand the Body Service. Its not a thing I've heard about on other cars.

I could ask the dealer, but I guess I'd only get the official view.

When is it done? Does it cost a lot? Can you do it yourself? Do Scoobs go rusty anyway (any where)?

Regards

Cool

Martin,

Welcome aboard you'll get one of these permanently when the running in period is over.

Anyway, the body service for UK cars is done on 1st, 3rd and 5th anniversaries (sp) of registration. The cost varies so shop around a few dealers - but it is necessary to keep the warranty on bodywork in force. The downside is that when mine was done it smelt like a leather fettish shop for about a week after

Thanks...and I've just found the Search option,so have got some more opinions. Seems like its a bit of a personal choice thing at the end of the day...

...but, the question (well two now, actually) still remains:

Do Scoobs go rusty anyway?
Has anyone tried to/made a succesful claim on the body warranty and had body parts replaced/refinished? Which ones?

Regards
