I cannot believe it! I've owned my 2001 WRX 6 months and its had a flat battery twice already and winter hasn't even arrived! Why are Scoob batteries so ****e? Can anyone recommend a good replacement available from Halfords etc?

Nathan, I had similar experiences with mine. Had to call Subaru assistance out twice within the space of a fortnight.
The second time I was advised to change my battery. The car is a 52 STi, he said you have had good wear out of it, but with powerful engines bla bla they don`t last forever.
Just my personal experience that worked for me. You may not need to change it, dunno. Just a bit of advice. Batteries will only last so long. And if its still on its first, you have done well
Anthony

P.S took it to the dealer and got them to check it, they said it was jiggered.

Make sure you check for loose connections and any weaknesses in the charging department. Your battery will only last if it is being adequately charged.
