Default Any vid available of your 8250 rpm engines in action ?

Hi guys!

We in belgium never get to see nor hear a real man's 8000+ revs proper classic STI engine in action!

On this side of the channel, STI's got imported as from 2002 with the 7 version, which is heavier, less powerful, and less revvy (7600 rpm redline) than the former model...(what in the world were they thinking hey ?) Other than that I'm used to shifting gears at 6000 rpm (TD04 inside)....

Any sound recording, any video anything ? I'd just love to hear and see how it goes on a Type RA for instance!

A "simple" STI V-VI would be nice as well

Whatever, gimme some 8000 revs

Did you mean peak HP ?

In both cases you need a remap !

I was probably doing over 160 at that point TBH

As daft as it sounds, looking out the rear view at that speed, on that spec of car, can give you a good clue if anything untoward is happening. Gauges dont always tell you that you are creating a fog screen (which i wasnt) untill its too late, and the engine ***** itself.

The spec C from outside is making a truly awesome noise... But it sounds like it's got equal length headers, right ? I mean the typical burble isn't there anymore! And I think I like it !

No burble - it now sounds more like a motorbike when you give it stick. I love the sound - don't miss the prehistoric burble at all

Rannoch- I make it you did the long lap in 1min 57 secs. Is that a good time for your car, being your first outing at Cadwell? The reason I ask is im hoping to go there at the end of this month and just wanted to gauge what time I might expect

My best lap was around 1m 54s which is the same as the MG Maestro prod saloon record

I believe that a MY06 Spec C should be capable low 1m 40s at Cadwell - possible even quicker.

I am just a slow driver

Not as slow as that Pork though
