Apart from the starter motor, which is nothing really i havent had any probs with the car at all - Drives Great

3.5k if you are lucky and actually find a buyer. I sold a MY98PP and MY93 WRX in the last month as i took delivery of an MY06. To sell them was hard, to sell them for a good price was just not going to happen......

Good luck tho!

Tony.

Agree with Tony.

Unfortunately the market is **** for Impreza's at the moment, especially early ones. I'd say put it up for £3995 and see how it goes.

Good luck with the sale.

Not what i wanted to hear - ha ha

I thought that might be the case but 4.5k would be nice - i can only try - its to good a car to let it go for any less than 4!

What else would you buy for that sort of money???

Thanks for the comments guys

Well for less than 4k you could have had my MY98 with Prodrive pack and full dealer service history... absolutely perfect condition and i couldn't shift it for that. Makes me cry thinking about what it went for.... there are literal thousands of imprezas about for less than 4K. MY95/96 STis can be had for 3K off the boat now

However it's all about timing, you could be lucky and find a decent buyer and get the 4.5k.

Blimey that is cheap for a 98!!

Just out of interest where are you from mate?? I cant believe you cant even get 4k for your 98!!

It is like you say all about timing!!

Going to put it in the trader next week - see what happens

If cant get a decent price - will keep hold of hit - love the car just fancy a change - alhtough once i have sold - dunno what i would get next with that sort of money

I'd say that cars worth 3k tops, stick it up for £3500 though.

i dont care what anyone says,a good early classic is very very hard to come by......people WILL pay good money for a good car..........99% of the classics out there have had there life and been thrashed to f*ck!

but i'm a little biased!

Agree with that, but you try to find a buyer that will want to pay the premium is very very very very very very hard.

I had a MY93 WRX that i had owned for 6 years (first UK owner), immaculate condition with Prosport service history and peoples offers were quite frankly an insult (i got less than 3k for it).

The average early classic buyer is not wanting top quality, they want cheap as it comes (preferebaly with Lexus lights and a dead dead loud dump valve)... i hated selling mine due to the fools i had to deal with (yes it does go very fast and it has a turbo were my frequent answers to their questions ).

Selling an Impreza is not an easy job... so good luck again

Tony.

Yeah i paid 6.5k for mine 12 months ago from ais imports - but it really is a minter!

I probably went to look at 20 subarus ranging from 3k to 6.5k and i ended up buying the dearest one i looked at - but so glad i did cause havent had any trouble with it and it is a great car!

I paid top wack for it - and im hoping someone else would be prepared to do the same - as i fell they would be getting a great car for 4.5/5k?

Thanks for the comments

Going in the trader this week!!
