How this for fuel comsumption
This week I did a 550 mile round trip in my 03wrx and it only used 1.5 tanks worth of fuel.
I admit I was sitting in the slow lane the entire time at 55 - 60 as it was all motorway
I have done this before at 70+mph and it drunk nearly double this
only mod to the engine is a zerosports airsplitter and ninja backbox
I knew i could make the scoob efficient for work driving

Driving a fair bit quicker than that, this week and every other week I did the same distance on 1 tank of fuel. If you're doing lots of miles, the answer is to buy a cheap TD that could cruise all day at 80+ (in countrys where that is legal) whilst returning well over 40mpg

I can do 80mph constant and still get 450 miles

i did 125 miles yesterday taking it very easy never went over the limit and kept it out of boost (exept for the last 10 miles ) and used about £25 using 95 ron at 87.9 a litre wots that work out for mpg (mind i think that 95 ron has lost me some power it felt a bit asthmatic above 4k rpm in them last 10 miles)

Where are you all getting this mpg from? I'm lucky if I get between 165-180 per tank full from my 94 WRX….. I suppose it could be the way I drive it. Good job I only use it in the summer.
I do what Hades suggests and have a TD to use for daily journeys. It's much better on the pocket and still allows me to have to joy of a scooby.
